Asiya Nasir
Founder, Utopian Enterprise Business Solutions
Asiya Nasir is the Founder of Utopian Enterprise Business Solutions, where she helps newly established nonprofit organizations build strong, compliant foundations and supports existing nonprofits in scaling to their next level of impact and sustainability.
Her journey as a nonprofit leader began with the founding of Journey to becoming an Extraordinarily Strong, Successful, Individual with Courageous Aspirations (J.E.S.S.I.C.A. Cares)—an organization rooted in empowerment, leadership development, and community transformation.
This hands-on nonprofit leadership experience, combined with her professional background in business development, staff management, and financial services, uniquely positions Asiya to guide nonprofit leaders in setting, achieving, and exceeding their organizational goals.
Asiya’s approach is intentionally different from traditional consulting models. She does not believe in one-size-fits-all strategies. Rather than simply offering recommendations or managing plans from a distance, she partners closely with her clients—helping them understand, engage with, and enjoy the process as their vision unfolds.
This collaborative approach leads to deeper understanding, stronger leadership capacity, and measurable success in a shorter period of time.
From the initial consultation and goal-setting phase through strategic planning and implementation, Asiya provides consistent, hands-on support at every step. She is deeply passionate about helping nonprofit leaders turn purpose into structure, vision into strategy, and dreams into sustainable reality.
With more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry and extensive expertise in business development, Asiya brings invaluable insight and guidance to the nonprofit space. She coaches, mentors, and inspires organizational leaders, staff, and volunteers to operate at their highest potential—driving accountability, clarity, and performance across teams. Her services also include board development, fundraising strategy, grant writing support, and capacity-building workshops.
Asiya understands what it takes to run a successful nonprofit and challenges her clients to expect the unexpected, embrace growth, and become comfortable navigating uncertainty. As her clients’ strongest advocate, she is committed to doing whatever it takes to help their missions take shape and thrive.
Widely respected for her leadership and impact, Asiya became a Certified Fundraising Specialist and Grant Writer in 2020. She is also a published author, having self-published her second book, Non Profit Doesn’t Mean NO Profit: Changing the Portrait of the Humanitarian Grind in December 2018, and has been featured in nonprofit publications including Project Rousseau and Angel Wings Bridge Foundation newsletters.
Her work has earned numerous honors and awards, including the Berkeley College Women’s Empowerment Award (2021) and the United Nations Woman of Impact Award (2019). She has also received the P.A.T.H. Award from Ma’oon Inc. (2018), along with multiple community achievement recognitions such as County College of Morris EOF Mentor Program (2016), Face My Abuse: Women Who Make a Difference (2015), Morristown Neighborhood House Service Appreciation Award (2012), Berkeley College Featured Success Student Award (2011), and the Project ReDirect Family Services Excellence in Business and Community Service Award (2011).
